01 About

I'm a UNT graduate in Business Computer Information Systems with an Associate of Arts from Tarrant County College, bringing hands-on web development and IT support experience alongside strong experience managing business records, systems, and processes. My self-directed projects span database systems, data analysis, and web development — and my work history in fast-paced retail, administrative, and sales roles has sharpened the parts of the job that don't show up in a tech stack: attention to detail, clear communication, and keeping complex, confidential records accurate under deadline pressure.

04 Projects

Hands-on builds spanning full-stack development, data, and web design — each taken from concept through to a working result.

Home page of the Sagebrush Sites website on a desktop: a cream background, a leaf logo, and the headline “Websites for salons and beauty businesses that turn browsers into booked appointments.”

Personal project

Sagebrush Sites — Web Development for Salons & Beauty Businesses

September – October 2026

Goal: design and launch a freelance web-studio brand for salons and beauty businesses, from positioning through a deployed site.

What I built: a live, hand-coded, mobile-first multi-page website (Home, Work, Process, About, Skills, Free Website Check, Contact) on a custom domain, with four concept case studies — spec work for fictional clients, built to demonstrate craft rather than list real customers — plus a client-intake questionnaire and a reusable portfolio template shared with fellow students. Later passes fixed contrast, keyboard, and tap-target problems and switched images to WebP.

Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, zero external dependencies.

Second Memory on a desktop: a sidebar of collections including Books, Recipes, To-Do, Shopping List, Notes, and Budget, and a Home view with cards for bills, to-dos, and the book currently being read.

Personal project

Second Memory

September 2026 – Present

Goal: replace scattered notes apps and spreadsheets with one offline-first place to track books, recipes, to-dos, a shopping list, and a household budget.

What I built: a multi-collection app (books with a yearly reading goal, recipes with scaling and a cook mode, repeating to-dos, a pay-period budget, a journal, and more) with search, filtering, sorting, and undo/redo across every collection, plus a small Python sync server I wrote (with conflict handling that never silently discards an edit, and daily backups) so data stays in step between my phone and computer. Backed by over 500 automated browser checks and 47 server tests.

Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser storage, Python (sync server). Installable as a PWA; works fully offline.

The Business Operations Hub dashboard: a sidebar of sections, and cards showing revenue received, an outstanding balance, time tracked this week, open quotes, and low-stock items.

Personal project

Business Operations Hub

October 2026

Goal: replace scattered proposals, time sheets, and invoices with one system that follows client work from first inquiry to paid invoice, at no recurring cost.

What I built: a self-hosted business system covering leads and scoping, quotes and client approval, projects, time, expenses, invoices and payments, reports and exports, and emailed client links, with role-based access, 27 database migrations, and over 550 automated tests.

Stack: TypeScript, React, Hono, PostgreSQL. Private repository (code walkthrough on request); screenshots show made-up sample data.

TripNest on a phone: the list of trips, showing a sample Puerto Rico vacation marked In Progress.
The TripNest itinerary on a phone: a flight and a hotel check-in, each with its time in the local time zone, and a warning about a possible schedule overlap.
TripNest expenses on a phone: a who-owes-whom summary with Mark as paid buttons and the total spent in dollars and euros.

Personal project

TripNest

October 2026

Goal: plan a whole trip in one place (itinerary, reservations, packing, and shared expenses) on a phone, offline, with no account and no server holding anyone's travel details.

What I built: an offline-first trip planner with an itinerary that shows each time in the place's own time zone, reservations and packing lists, shared expenses that always split to the exact cent and show who owes whom, maps, a printable booklet, backups, and a merge that combines an updated trip file from a second phone without losing edits.

Stack: React, TypeScript, IndexedDB, Leaflet and OpenStreetMap. Installable PWA on GitHub Pages, with over 300 automated tests plus browser tests of every screen. Screenshots show a made-up sample trip.

Personal project

MealMate

October 2026

Goal: plan meals, build the grocery list from the plan, and keep an eye on the food budget and daily drinks, without creating an account.

What I built: a mobile-first meal planner whose grocery list combines matching ingredients (cans and pounds never merge), a large-button shopping mode, budget tracking from recorded shopping trips, a drink tracker, leftovers and batch cooking, and recipe import, plus optional end-to-end encrypted sync and reminders through a small Cloudflare Worker.

Stack: React, TypeScript, TanStack Query, Zod, Cloudflare Worker and D1. Installable PWA on GitHub Pages, with 320 automated tests (unit, cloud-service, and browser). Private repository (code walkthrough on request).

Personal project

StoryVault

October 2026

Goal: give a novel-length manuscript a private writing studio that keeps the writing as plain files on my own computer, with no accounts and no subscription.

What I built: a local-first writing studio that imports a manuscript (Word, Markdown, text, ODT, or EPUB), splits it into chapters, and checks every import word for word. It adds an editor with proofreading and continuity checks, a story bible, exports to Word, PDF, EPUB, and more, verified backups with automatic recovery points, and an offline phone version with file-based sync.

Stack: React, TypeScript, TipTap, and a small Node server for local files, with more than 140 automated tests. Private repository (code walkthrough on request).

Personal project

MTG Collection Tracker

October 2026

Goal: know where every card in a physical Magic: The Gathering collection is stored and what the whole collection is worth, from a phone.

What I built: a self-hosted app that searches any card printing through the Scryfall API, then stores cards by box, binder, or deck. It keeps cached market prices with retry and stale-price handling, tracks value history, runs a want list with price alerts, suggests deck upgrades using only cards I already own, and takes weekly backups.

Stack: Next.js, React, TypeScript, and libSQL (SQLite locally, Turso hosted) on Vercel with a daily scheduled job. Installable PWA with over 100 automated tests, including fuzz tests and every API route called with hostile input. Private repository (code walkthrough on request).

Personal project

Our Family Budget

September – October 2026

Goal: give my family a household budget they can actually read and update, with big text and big buttons, that works offline and shows everyone the same numbers.

What I built: a spreadsheet-like budget with bills due soon and one-tap Mark Paid, a pay-period view, regular paychecks, savings goals, debts with a debt-free date estimate, month-by-month comparisons, undo, and CSV export. Devices stay in step through a private GitHub repository that holds one data file, so there is no server and no accounts. The public app itself holds no budget data.

Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript with no framework, a service worker for offline use, and the GitHub API. Hosted on GitHub Pages. The live site opens to a setup screen because the numbers live in a separate private repository.

This portfolio’s home page on a desktop: a light green page with a leaf-shaped headshot, the name Michelle Feliciano, and a short summary.

Personal project

Michelle Feliciano — Portfolio

September 2026 – Present

Goal: showcase skills, projects, education, and experience in one place, with direct links to live work and code.

What I built: this responsive, accessible portfolio — light/dark mode, mobile navigation, a downloadable résumé, and in-depth case studies for my three largest projects, deployed on GitHub Pages.

Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, zero external dependencies.
